Here at Forgotten Pond Farms I took on the challenge of growing dahlias for my daughter’s wedding. I started with nothing but the soil in my front yard and a handful of dahlia tubers. Soon bountiful blooms were towering over me and my bouquets were selling out at local markets.

Our Roots
A family affair. Grown from the ground up.
Christine and her daughter moved to Cedar in 2018 — unaware at the time that when they first dug into the earth to start their gardens, they were beginning something truly special. At first it started with humble herbs, tomatoes, and raspberries that added life to meals cooked at home.
But a garden is more than bringing life to your food, it’s bringing joy to life through colour, connection, and love. So, when Christine’s youngest daughter asked her to grow flowers for her wedding, she was about to learn the true joy of dahlias.
Days at Forgotton Pond Farm were soon full of tubers, blooms, and days spent at the market.
